Bonnie Fields
I turned to yoga to cope with personal problems and chronic back pain. The practice has helped me transform my life in ways I never expected. A genuine path to personal fulfillment, yoga has become an essential component of my physical, mental and spiritual balance.
After years of rigorous practice and trying different styles of yoga (Sivananda, Vinyasa flow and Iyengar) in both France and the United States, I have developed my personal approach and gained a deep understanding of how yoga transforms the body, the view of our world and reveals the self buried deep within. It is my passion to share this gift, I want to offer the wonderful benefits of yoga to everyone, and serve this ancient tradition.
In 2015, I attended the renowned Sivananda certification program, and became a certified yoga instructor. Prior to this, I was a professional dancer performing with William Forsythe and a graduate of the Juilliard School for the Performing Arts in New York City. I was a dance instructor, with a diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance in London. I taught classical ballet, improvisational dance and worked as a choreographer in universities and dance schools in New York, London, Paris, and Chalon sur Saône. My background as a dancer and teacher helps me correctly demonstrate and monitor precise postures with my yoga students.
I began teaching yoga professionally in January 2016 and have blossomed in my new career. This brand new yoga studio in Chalon sur Saone allows me the opportunity to share my life experience and the wonderful benefits of yoga in a city where this discipline in not widely practiced.
